My name is @ngela and I am looking forward to introducing you to the exciting field of permanent make-up. Before discussing permanent make-up, I would like to tell you about myself, and why I have chosen to pursue this growing and exciting profession.

I attended college for Nursing in California then transferred to a State University in New York where I earned a degree and became licensed as a Registered Nurse. I worked in the medical field for fifteen years and enjoyed helping people during critical times of their lives. In 1998, I moved to Pretoria, South Africa where I worked as an U.S. Embassy medevac nurse. This job allowed me to meet area physicians/surgeons and it was there that I was first exposed to the art of permanent make-up as it applied to the medical field.

As I researched permanent make-up I discovered that it actually had two main purposes: first was for medical aesthetics, such as camouflaging a clef lip, scar on an eyebrow, or creating an areola after a mastectomy; and second was for general beautification, lip stick, eyeliner and eye brows. I immediately attended a lengthy training program with the top permanent make-up artist in Pretoria. After a six-month apprenticeship, I grew increasingly enthusiastic, especially after seeing the reactions of many grateful and satisfied clients. I then began the transition from traditional nursing into permanent make-up. Upon returning to the USA, I attended advanced permanent make-up-training programs in Southern California, then later trained with a renowned Tattoo artist in Tampa, Florida.

In summary, I became a Registered Nurse because I wanted to be in a profession where I was able to do something good for people. Knowing that when people look their best, they generally feel their best, is why I have decided to transition solely into permanent make-up. I look forward to working with you and it is my hope that I will create a long and
Lasting Impression.
